Photographer's Note
SOS DEL REY CATOLICO is a small town on top of a small hill in northern Aragon. It is very old and played an important role in the genesis of Spain.
Located on rocky and elevated terrain, the border town was a stronghold between Aragon (or Pamplona) and Navarra. In 1452 the Aragonese King Ferdinand II of Aragaon was born here.
King Ferdinand II would marry Queen Isabella I of Castillia. This marriage, joining Aragon and Castilla, is regarded as one of the cornerstones of modern Spain.
In 1492 the couple sponsored the first voyage of Christopher Columbus. In the same year the united Spanish forces defeated Granada, the last Muslim state in Western Europe.
These days Sos del Rey Catolico is a sleepy medieval town. With a splendid parador (we've been told) it sees a modest amount of visitors. There are a handful of fine restaurants too. Still, it feels pretty remote.

THIS PICTURE was shot from inside the palace where Ferdinand II was born, looking out onto the the town.

Hi Benny,I had thought that the photo came from your hotel, the building where Ferdinand II was born must have been recently restored, and even badly, they look at the tiles that look like those of my house..ahaha..but the composition is brilliant, great view with the effect of transparent boxes that is really a winner! Have a nice weekend and thanks,Luciano

Goedemiddag Benny,
U heeft het raam en zijn verdelingen goed gebruikt als frame.
Ook de typische pannendak heeft u mooi scherp op de foto gezet.
Zelf de kerktoren en de klokken zij goed zichtbaar.
Goede foto werk, bedankt.
Groeten uit Oost-Vlaanderen,

Hi Benny
Window with a special view and history that caught my eye immediately with the bell tower anchors the focus to rest. What a beautiful image with lovely light, wonderful colours and great attention to detail.
Best regards

Hi Benny,
Brilliant composition here with a lovely view through the window but also so nicely framed with details of the window and the shiny surface on the right side which contributed also a reflection.
The weather was wonderful with perfectly blue sky. Your reportage made me aware how many more interesting places in Spain I would like to visit someday,
Excellent work,
M

Hi Benny.
Wonderful composition, framing the church and the roofs from this kind of balcony, whose glass also captures a beautiful reflection.
Photo very well done. I like it
Enjoy a good day.
Very best regards.
Luis.
