Photographer's Note

The aqueduct of Segovia is probably the best roman work in Spain. It was finished about the year 90 AC in times of Trajan and was still working few years ago. The total lenght of the aqueduct is almost 15 km but main part is underground. The part with archs is 728 m long and 28 m high (highest point). The romans constructed this solid wonder still complete without any kind of mortar or cement. Stones have been balancing each other for more than 1900 years...
This monument was included in the Unesco's World Heritage List in 1985.
