Photographer's Note

Sunrise on Las Cortinas area in Las Bardenas Reales desert in Navarre, northern Spain. It was the only beautiful sunrise we had on the 5 days we stayed in the desert. Actually a few minutes later the weather turned to cloudy and stayed like that until the afternoon. And we had the same weather every morning on next days, sometimes we had fog. Well, this is not something expected in the desert, isn't it ? But we were a lot luckier on sunset. For this one I used a graduated grey filter to balance the sky and the ground.

Vaya foto mas guapa... luz suave que decae.. profundidad magnifica....el sol y las formas del primer plano..tan caracteristicas de las Bardenas,,,me gusta..saludos

L'廦uilibre des lumi鋨es est parfait entre le premier plan et la partie du ciel o� se l鋦e le soleil gr歊e au filtre d嶲rad� bien g廨�.
La composition est bonne avec cette roche plac嶪 sur un point fort de l'image, et les couleurs douces dans le ciel apportent une r嶪lle ambiance.
La profondeur de champ est tr鋊 bonne. Donc le蔞n parfaitement assimil嶪 concernant l'hyperfocale ;-).

je suis all� dans ce d嶰or de western pour admirer les surprises de la nature.
Belle harmonie de tons beiges, cadrage recherch� pour avoir cette "demoiselle coiff嶪" conte balan賟e par le sommet lointain, l'atmosph鋨e est r嶰hauff嶪 par le soleil � l'horizon.

Pas tres loin de chez nous, il y a donc des paysages qui ressemblent � l'Amerique( du nord et du sud�)
tres beau lever de soleil qui permet de decouvrir l'immensit� des lieux�

Splendide ce lever du soleil dans le d廥ert. Les teintes sont tr鋊 jolies, une grande profondeur et une belle lumi鋨e. J'aime beaucoup la texture du sable en premier plan aussi.

I am not familiar with the deserts in Spain, but your collection of pictures here has enlightened me a lot. This is a beautiful gentle sunrise, with just enough light to allow us to study the slopes and fascinating details of this barren land.

Hi Olivier,
This is a magical scene. The landscape is alone breath taking, but the inclusion of this low light makes it even more special. It is like looking at a scene from an epic movie. The sun look so small too, a pin point of light and beautiful color. Your choice of this view is inspired.
