Photographer's Note
In another era, not long ago, this region of Sweden was full of small mines in small villages and in other small villages they made iron from the ore in small iron works. That was in another time, not so long ago.
Today those little villages struggle to stay alive as the young ones move to the cities to find jobs. Left in the little villages in the big forests are the old ones and the few needed to take care of them.
The picture shows one of the elevator towers at the mine in Idkerberget. It has been closed for some 30 years now but as you see large investments were made not so long ago.
This is just the lower part of the tower. For some reason it was painted red, usually they are just bare concrete.
Does anyone dare to say rules of thirds?

:) I was just looking at the picture and "The Rule of Thirds" was hiting my mind :)
I can't find any critiques to this one, love the textures, the tones, the three parts..

Wide variety of red intensity and transparency. Very simple geometry (one more painting by Mondrian ?) but very effective. And three parts ... clearly delimited.
The branches on the left and the date on the right take the abstraction back into reality.

Great graphic composition, Ebbe. I also like the branches on the left. It adds a touch of nature to the scene.

Simple but very effective graphic, Ebbe, with a play of rectangulars in red, the date and the green keeps it related to reality and the black framing was well needed as a contrast.

Really art Ebbe,
I like it very much. First I had to look a couple times, but then I saw it, very good photo with maybe 4 colours, very good frame around, very good job, I like it.

Another splendid, well seen, graphic composition from you Ebbe!
I really think you shots are typical Swedish shots, not only because of the subjects, but because of the simplicity and cleaness and minimalism that we swedes often like in art and design. You capture this in all of you shots very, very well.
Nice, natural and deep colours in this one, I like the different shades of red. Perfecrt clarity and details. Again you have turned something ordinary into art.
Well done!
