Photographer's Note
Mariefred, in addition to the castle and the deer reserve also has (at least) two attractions during the summer: the Narrow Gauge Railway (珺tra S鐰ermanlands J酺nv輍) with steam locomotives that runs to Taxinge Castle, and the old boat (S/S Mariefred, which has been in operation since 1903) that takes passengers across the southern part of Lake rnM鄟aren to the same place. Unfortunately, in April, when I visited the city, none of them were operational. This is a photo of the station (next to which is a small museum) from which trains depart, and in the WS is the pier (which is also reached by rail) from which the ship sails, as well as another view of small wagons that once moved by train rail.rnLet's not forget - the Street Music Festival is held in the city in August
