Photographer's Note

....at the Cityhall - Stadshuset of Stockholm.
Although it was not a very busy day, a couple of tourist busses stopped in front of the historic building and so it was almost impossible to take photographs there without human elements.
So I waited about half an hour before I took this shot when suddenly a lady with a camera was peeping out behind the last column. I decided to take the shot and was happy to show something suitable to scale the buildings architectural highlight.

Stockholm City Hall (Swedish: Stockholms stadshus or Stadshuset locally) is the building of the Municipal Council for the City of Stockholm in Sweden. It stands on the eastern tip of Kungsholmen island, next to Riddarfj酺den's northern shore and facing the islands of Riddarholmen and S鐰ermalm. It houses offices and conference rooms as well as ceremonial halls, and the luxury restaurant Stadshusk鄟laren. It is the venue of the Nobel Prize banquet and one of Stockholm's major tourist attractions
