Photographer's Note

There have recently been so many bright and beautiful photos on TE of Christmas atmosphere all over the world, so just for a change here is the dull reality of southern Scandinavian winter in the time of global heating.

No snow.

An abandoned rental bike.
A small part of a large building complex designed by the Spanish architect Ricardo Bofill Levi, completed in 1992.
Paintings by unknown masters.
On both sides of the fenced-in road is a park undergoing renovation, estimated to be finished by 2022.

This is from the heart of S鐰ermalm island in Stockholm, a few blocks from where I live (in a much nicer area). The photo was taken a few days ago. Yesterday, Christmas Day, we actually received some snow. There is a likelihood it won't last long. The dull weather is likely to last another few months.
