Photographer's Note
the church of San Romerio is one of the oldest in the whole Val Poschiavo, but also in the underlying Valtellina (Italy). It has been built in the 10th century and it is situated at more as 1600 m high, at the border of a 500 m high fall just up over the Lago di Poschiavo. It gives a quite nice walk to get there, but as it is used in the mountains, once you're up, you enjoy it.
I could have done more than 30 takes of this place, as the weather was so clear and the contrasts so deep. This is one I like the most. At the bottom you can see the italian Dolomites, but we are standing on the last Alpine line. Things of neighbours... At the right side, down in the shadow lies Bormio and than the fronteer between Switzerland and Italy.

My grandfather, native of Poschiavo, told me as I was a child and were climbing there: "If you have problems with your teeth you just make a tour of the church and afterwards it's ok, you won't have problems anymore."
I like this pict and you had chance with the weather!!!

Hi Radek,
Nice framing of this well placed church.

Belle présentation de ce paysage, le cadrage en vertical accentue l'effet de hauteur, belle luminosité.
