Photographer's Note

A view of Zurich's churches over Limmat river from Quaibrucke Bridge.

The first from the left is the Fraumunster Church built on the remains of a former abbey for aristocratical women which was founded in 853 by Louis the German for his daughter Hildegard. Today, it belongs to the Swiss Reformed Church.

The second from the left is St. Peter's Church the oldest church in Zurich and its origins go back to pre-900. The church is adorned with the largest clock face in Europe. Its circumference measures 869cm (28.5feet).

The last on the right side is Grossmunster, 12th century Romanesque Ex-Cathedral with fascinating history of Catholic saints and Protestant preaching. According to legend the Grossmunster was founded by Charlemagne after his horse stopped over the graves of three early Christian martyrs.

Superb photo from Limmat river and Zurich churches. All in excellent light. I like your viewpoint from other side of the bridge. Well done Zbigniew.

ladna i naprawde znakomicie skadrowana panorama Zurichu!
Podoba mi sie sposob w jaki uchwyciles nie tylko sama architekture miaste,ale tez i pierwszy plan z czescia mostu i przechodniem.

Hello Zbigniew,

This is a good view on the river and the bridge, well framed by the towers on each side. The light is good and the image is of good quality. I think your could have cut two inches of pavement at the bottom to achieve a more panoramic view.

Howdy Fotka,

Interesting scene with the classical panorama of classical Zurich contrasted with a foreground of street bed reminding us of the modern day reliance on autos. And in good resolution and natural coloring.
