Photographer's Note

Not a lot of activity from my side the last few weeks. I'm in the transition between two jobs, which keeps me quite busy lately. For the new job I'll leave Basel this spring for Seattle (if everything works out as planned). So I try hard to enjoy the european-small-town-atmosphere as long as I have it in front of my doorstep.

Here I sneaked up behind Helvetia while she was enjoying a glorious sunset over the river Rhine.

Hi Adrian,
Great use of light and good composition which realy draws you into the picture ,my only gripe is the dark shadow area to the left.Thanks for sharing David.

Hello Adrian,

Great light and compelling composition. I may have tried this with a little stopped down fill flash although it looks fine as it is. Very well done.

very nice photo ! I like this cloudy and colored sky... there is a great perspective which attracts our eyes to the end of the Rhine.
Nice idea of POV (the back of Helvetia) !
