Photographer's Note
Found this glacial cave midway on a hike from Grindelwald to Eigergletcher. Previously, I posted a photo showing the front opening (HERE)
This one shows the other side. While inside I could hear the sound of dripping water & falling pebbles. They gave such haunting echoes. I didn't stay inside too long for fear of the small glacier which was shape like a dome collapsing on me. It was a hot day on Sept 22, 2006. Coming from a warm country (Malaysia) I thought the sun was not a problem to me. I got my lips burned that day. The lady from the pharmacy in Grindelwald told me it was the sun plus the high altitude that did it. Anyway, it was an exciting & surprising find for me as I didn't expect to find this small patch of glacier which would probably be gone in a few years.

Latiff, super composition and a view that few of us ever get to see. It has an almost prehistoric look and feel. Nice details.

Very interesting patterns in the cave walls. I think the off-vertical composition also adds interest to the shot.

Latiff,
Apa khabar? Terima kasih untuk critique anda. I like the pov of this shot. It's nice to use the glacier as a frame and the blue sky is like a window. It's interesting to see the patterns in the glacier too.

HI Latiff
What an unusual view from the glacier! I've never got that close to a glacier. I just love your POV, which is imaginative and dramatic too, and the contrasts in the snow and rock are excellent. A great shot.

Interesting framing, well composed, well managed. Textures are pretty original. Good light management too (I suppose it was hard because of the contrast).

Hi Latiff,
even the other one is impressive too, this one has more. The ice structures against the rocky ones are great. Wonderful captured, good light management and contrast to show us a lot of details.

I LOVE the pov through the glacier cave opening! Is that really ice? The texture is amazing (although perhaps a higher f stop would have allowed the left hand side to stay in focus?), and that blue sky! Well done on a really striking photograph.

Hello Latiff,
The composition to look up at blue sky from the arch of glacier cave is superb. It's marvelous that dropping water in bottom right is shining in the backlighting.
Have a nice day, Hisashi
