Photographer's Note
The Olympus in Greece, Shangri-La in Himalaya, the summits in Peru left to Gods...
Many examples show that the tops of the mountains represent everywhere in the world a holy, mystic place.
In the Alps, either a cross or a statue culminates at the top of all summits. Here, this is a picture of the statue of the Blessed Virgin with the infant Jesus that stands at the top of the Mont Noble in Valais, Switzerland.

Bravo Pierre! It's excellent. The staue, the sun, the sky, the mountains. I am impressed - all we have on mountain summit is "Madams of stone" which surely is not the same.

Perfect work, Pierre. The scenery is awe-inspiring, the photography is very good, and the stitching job is tops. The large version makes me think I'm breathing the cold mountain air. Congratulations.

IMO, one of the best panoramas so far on TE, Pierre. The vista is spectacular and the juxtaposition of statue and sun is perfect.

This is magnificent. The most oustanding feature of this shot is the composition. To lights in the horizon: the sun and Virgin Mary (with the infant Jesus). Very impressive post-processing work!

The larger version its magnificient. What a sharpness. The six shanks of the sun are beautiful. Wonderful panorama on alpine highland. The statue makes an exellent composition. I wonder how you rised up there, with skiing cableway or you just climbed?!

Wow, the view is breathtaking. Excellent choice of the panoramic format. The clouds, mountain ridges, and the sparkling sun. Somebody really went of of their way to plan and create the statue up top.

Fantastic panorama! It sure looks cold up there... but mighty beautiful, and mystical. Serene, even. I like the way that you have succesfully managed to incorporate several elements that can be difficult to capture properly: the statue standing tall above the peaks; the clouds floating up to the summits; the tone of the snow; and of course the Sun. Shots facing the Sun can be hard, but you did it very well. Good shot!

Wow! Very nice POV! Of course being on the top of a mountain gives you the oportunity to take amazing picutres and this one is just great!
There could be 2 points of view:
1. The Earth is a sphere so it's nice to see the curve of the Earth on that picture.
2. Using the appropriate sofware, the line could be straighten in order to correct the effect created by stichting the picture.
If I have some time, I will try to workshop it just to compare!
Thanks
Simon
