Photographer's Note

The Jungfraubahn connects the Kleine Scheidegg with Europe's highest railway station, the 3454m high Jungfaujoch station. It climbs steeply up through a tunnel blasted through the north face of the Eiger, where it makes a halt to allow passengers to gaze down through windows in the rock onto Grindelwald a thousand metres below.

This view shows one of the trains making its way from Kleine Scheidegg to the Eigergletscher station; in the background we can see the Lauterbrunnen valley and, in the distance, the Schilthorn.
