Photographer's Note
Taken on the way down shortly after leaving Bachalpsee. It was a long but wonderful hike of more than ten hours that started in Schynige Platte. On the mountain on top right you can see the mountain station called First. From there you can take a cable car down to Grindelwald ... you may save 3-4 hours of walking. The whole walk is too scenic and you are bound to linger in many places!
More photos taken from this hike displayed in the order they were taken HERE. More to be included to the theme. Thanks for visiting.
Note: Not exactly HDR but a blending/merging of two photos. Lighting was bad. So I decided to expose one for the shadow the other for highlight and then wait until I know what to do with them. See WS for another color play on the same image.

Hi Latiff,
Considering it's a semi HDR, I see no obvious sign of blending so good work! I think the photo may have been better if you'd stepped back a little and included more of the surroundings, however this is nice just because of the light contrasts.

hello Latiff
Very pleasant landscape view of the mountainous area.
Interesting to see log and slate combined for this cabin. But this is a great view of Bern. The blending of 2 photos work quite well here.

I like mountains nearly as much as sea and I like this alpine hut whose architecture integrate itself very well with nature.
I understand the exposure was not easy and the merging of two photos must have helped. There is a good sharpness that allow us to appreciate the fine texture of the wood and stone wall.
Last but not least: I like how the hut fills complitely the photogram.
Best greetings,

Hi Latiff,
The simple frontal POV seems a wise choice here and it's very effective showing the beautiful, yet rough, charm of the cabin. The detail of the curtains makes it very special.
It looks indeed a very challenging light situation, with which you coped very well. I use exposure blending quite often in these situations, but sometimes it's difficult to get a good balance between natural appearance and good exposure both in shadows and highlights, which is something that is remarkably well done here.
Hats off for the sharpness also, specially considering that you used two shots. Mots of the times I use only one RAW image, even in cases that I have more than one, because too often the shots don't match exactly.
I prefer the colour balance of the main post, but maybe the WS is more realistic, because shadows tend to have a blue cast. Maybe you could have used the sky of the WS here.
Regards, José.

Very nice shot. I love this kind of mountain architecture. The sun on the top of the cliff looks nice and presents a nice contrast in the shades.
Well done.
