Photographer's Note
I was three times in Ukraine. In 2003, I visited Kyiv, in 2010 I was in Ukrainian Crimea and in 2019 in Podilj and Lviv. So I can tell that I know Ukraine quite well and I have many photos, not difficult to find something for TE, but not so many with blue and yellow.
But here it is. An interesting feature of Orthodox Monastery Architecture are the Gate- Churches. Here is such a gate with the church over it in Petchersk Lavra.
Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra means Kyiv Monastery of the Caves, is a historic Eastern Orthodox Christian monastery.
Since its foundation as the cave monastery in 1051, the Lavra has been a preeminent center of Eastern Orthodox Christianity in Eastern Europe. Together with the Saint Sophia Cathedral, it is inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. {Wikipedia}
All around the world people condemn the cruel war against Ukraine and support the Ukrainian people. Inm Poland there are many spontaneous actions, people invite the refugees to their homes.
In Workshop another Gate-Church from Lavra.

Hi Malgo,
The architecture of the church is impressive. The point of view is showing the details of the Gate church. The colors and the sharpness are very good. Have a nice day.

Hi Malgo
Apart from showing solidarity with the people of Ukraine these are intriguing photos to me as I've never come across a gate-church.
cheers

Hello Malgo,
This is a beautiful building I remember well. The visit to this monastery was of course one of the highlights of the time I spent in Kiev. The WS view is also impressive.

malgo

Hello Malgo,
This is a beautiful place, peaceful and tranquil, a World Heritage Site; how could this peace be destroyed so much by the actions of one person!
There is no doubt that the world is united in its condemnation of Putin and its support for the freedom of Ukraine!
I wonder when the Russian people will turn on Putin!
Take care,
Bev :-)

Hello Malgo,
The Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra is a wonderful monastic complex that you can wander around all day and admire fantastic art and architecture.
Here you present us an excellent photo of a wonderfully decorated gate with the golden dome of the church on top.
Unfortunately, my visit to the Lavra was on the only gray, chilly, windy and rainy day I had in Ukraine.
At the entrance it turned out that a separate ticket had to be bought to take pictures and that the price was a multiple of a normal entrance ticket. Because of the bad weather I decided to only buy the entrance ticket and secretly take a picture every now and then.
However, the latter was not obvious. There was staff there who were not in uniform and as soon as I pulled out my camera they told me not to take pictures without paying.
As a result, I only have pictures of the Lavra that were taken high in the towers or in more remote places in the large domain ...
But the Lavra was truly impressive.
Best regards, Paul

Hello Malgo,
A great photo of this beautiful church in Kyiv, the golden towers are very nicely surrounded by the mainly green tones of the roofs and trees. Also the details and paintings of the wall look great.

Hello Malgo,
Despite the low light, managed a good colors, mainly blue & green tones prevailing the scene.
View from street level up to the top of the golden cross was well taken from a fair distance.

Witaj Malgorzata,
Przesliczny kosciol wspanialy pierwszej klasy zabytek.
Bylo by bardzo przykro aby zostal zniszczony w tych trudnych czasach.
Pierwszy raz widze kosciol ze slicznymi malowidlami na zewnetrznej scianie budowli.
Super kompozycja a takze jakosc zdjecia oraz ladna prezentacja.
Pozdrowienia,
Zbyszek
