Photographer's Note
My third shot of Polperro on the southern coast of Cornwall.
It was a very bright day hence the deep shadows on the left!
The houses cling to the hillside; the approach road to the village is quite steep.
Polperro was once renowned for its smuggling activities, as were lots of other Cornish ports. But no need for that anymore.
Thanks for looking, your comments are always welcomed.

Very nice capture of a typical Cornish view Jean. Good POV looking down with plenty of areas of interest. I like the shadows on the left to contrast the brightness in the rest of the image.

Such a beautiful village. This is very different than what you would see in my little corner of the world, therefore very interesting to me. I find this place has a very 'cozy' feel to it. Very nice pov. TFS

Hi Jean
This is a very nice composition. It reminds me of Port Wenn in the Doc Martin series. Excellent exposure.

Hello Jean.
I have been watching too much Doc Martin. This is not his town, but it sure looked like it from the thumbnail! It's a delightful little place, one that I think I've seen on various calendars over the years. I presume you were located on a hill to take this nice afternoon shot. It has a very slight tilt to the right, but otherwise is a very pleasing shot.
Regards,
Andrew
PS Just noticed Phil's comment about Doc Martin!

Hi Jean,
An excellent photograph of this small port! Your composition and sharpness is superb as usual and I love looking at all of the details. That rugged looking seawall is especially interesting and looks like it has seen more than its share of storms. I imagine that this small cove is fairly well sheltered from the winds. I can't imagine going back here 300 years ago and seeing some real cutthroats running around this place. Smugglers, thieves, murderers, and other scum. Now it looks like a safe, family-friendly place. So much for the "good old days". Superb!

I really love those tiny Cornish villages lke that, and your picture portraits it from a good POV, so that you can also see the harbour. What a light for being February!
Very good,
Ciao,
Donato
