Photographer's Note
Every where you look around Britain lately there has been much evidence of festival fever in preparation for this weekend.
I have to say, the people of Ashbourne seem to have taken to the idea particularly well - there was bunting everywhere ! Against the very blue skies we had last week, this made for an especially joyful display.
A slightly different view in WS

Hello Martin
Yes, I agree, Britain has certainly gone to town for``Queenie``
I like the upward view of the roofs with the rows of flags standing out beautifully against the bright blue sky.
Best Wishes

Hi Martin, It seem all England celebrates these days and you have a lot of fun. Who knows, maybe it happen again in ten years. Charles will not be a king so long, if ever. I like the view of this colourful display and here a blue sky, not the rain as in Londod parade.
Warm regrads

Hi Martin,
charming way to illustrate the jubilee. Even I enjoy the anniversary especially that it comes with a day off :)
Very nice geometry and unusual blue sky!

Hello Martin,
It surprises me that at this time of Our Queen's Diamond Jubilee, there is only one person who appears to have uploaded any pictures remotely linked to the wonderful celebrations - and that is you!
This and your workshop picture are lovely photographs, full of colour and joy even although they are perhaps a little devoid of humanity! Unfortunately, celbrations and street parties have been a lot more sparse up in Scotland, but I thought we would have seen more pictures of Jubilee celebrations from London and suchlike.
Great colours, perfect exposure, good composition in both pictures and, of course, your usual impeccable sharpness.
Bravo!
Kind Regards,
John.

Hello martin - Yes, a patriotic and colourful display which looks fantastic against the clear blue sky! I trust the citizens of Ashbourne enjoyed the festivities, I've been watching on TV and feeling particularly homesick. Land of Hope and Glory always brings a lump to my throat (mad *ugger) Anyway a topical and attractive shot for which I thank you very much. Warm regards rosemary

Hi Martin
I missed it! I prefer this one to the more usual one in the WS, because we focus on THE subject (the flags) against the blue sky. She (the Queen) had not this splendid weather on her jubilee day!
regards
