Photographer's Note

This shoot was taken from the public footpath at the end of the afternoon. The Needles is a group of rock off the western point of the Isle of Wight.
A small lighthouse was built on the outermost rock.
This part of the coast is under the National Trust's protection.

interesting pov and lovely subdued colours, how you did'nt get sunflare with it still so high, could it be a bit overexposed. could be interesting to have bracketed the shot and had the needles in silhouette maybe.

Hello Olivier,

This is a first rate photograph, shortly before sunset. Excellent composition and perspective, light and shadow, and color and definition. It appears as a silhouette of giant snails being trailing each other.
Thanks for your recent comment on my "Bubble About to Burst" Moon above the Washington Monument.
