Photographer's Note
London’s iconic skyline has several vantage points. A personal favourite is the view from the western side of the Tower Bridge, with the two halves of the city glittering and rising over the wide expanse of the Thames. To its left lie the hyperfuturistic City Hall and the Shard, while to its right lies the Tower of London, one of the city’s most historic spots. Beyond the Tower of London rise the office buildings of the City borough, each with its own nickname. Of these, the walkie talkie, the gherkin, and the cheese grater are the most prominent (and comically named). At night, the entire scene looks like anthills of light, as curious as the city itself.
