One of the most beautiful and decorated shopfronts of London according my mind is the shopfront of Hamleys toys store at Regent street.

Hamleys is the oldest and largest toy shop in the world and one of the world's best-known retailers of toys. Founded by William Hamley as "Noahs Ark" in High Holborn, London, in 1760, it moved to its current site on Regent Street in 1881. This flagship store is set over seven floors, with more than 50,000 lines of toys on sale. It is considered one of the city's prominent tourist attractions, receiving around five million visitors each year. The chain has ten other outlets in the United Kingdom and also has more than 60 franchises worldwide.

Kalispera danos,
This toys-store is well known, and i remember it from my visit late in 1978. Always making outstanding window-decorations and indoor's as well.
A fine take, nice idea, and superbly shown the smallest details. Stunning blue.

The subject is well framed. The point of view is showing the details of the showcase of Hamley's toys store. The good luminosity is bringing out the colors. I did visit the stor many years ago, it is impressive, have a nice day.

I don't think I have ever been to this store, but this window is very attractively arranged and will please children of all ages, from 5 to 65. You handled the light and colours excellently.

Hello Danos,

Hamleys is world renown as one of the best toy stores ever! I remember taking my children round, just for the experience!
What a wonderful window display!
Who wouldn't be mesmerised by this!
I'm surprised there weren't any faces pressed against the glass!
You have done a fine job of capturing the display so that we can all enjoy it!

Hello Danos,
This post reminded me of F A O Schwarz in NYC, which used to be the biggest toy store in the U.S. It closed down in 2015. I understand it is opening again, albeit smaller. But even in its heyday, F A O Schwarz did not compare to this.

you are certainly showing a very original reportage from London. Places I have never heard about.
This is a spot which my little daughter would love to see. It could be her favourite place in London!

when I was there the displays for christmas aren't done yet but there were some few. amazing this artwork with commercial purposes. excellent qualitry of image despite the difficulties with the light.
