Photographer's Note
well a funny one from me today! well funny to me anyway!
i took this a few weeks ago on the north yorkshire moors somewhere near rosedale abbey if my memory serves me correctly, or thats what we were looking for, we ended up finding what seemed to be the ruins of an only viaduct!
anyway these two sheep were stood on the edge of what looks like a cliff but was just a hill down, quite steep though! driving down was quite an experience! when i got the picture home i thought that it looked as if they were stood right on the edge of the cliff, chatting, and maybe contempleting suicide! ;)
you can get a feel for how high up it was here from the cars towards the top right!
i hope you like it, i was quite stuck for something else to post, so i settled for this one, for soemthing different! thanks for looking, comments and critiques welcome as always!

Bonjour Steven,
une image bien parlante.
J'aime la différence de verts entrelaprairie d'avant plan et celle de derrièren cela donne de la profondeur.
Une image bien cadrée.
Compliments.

Pretty photograph with the green colours. The two animals seem to discuss together. Well considering.

Lovely.
Such good DOF, the background is also very sharp. And the motive is so nice.
Thanks for showing

HI
funny shot
Just I suggest to be farter away from the sheeps to include more green at their background, not sure if it was possible of course

Hi Steven!
I also tried to take sheeps when I was in England last week-end but I don't have a position like this. Yours is very well done and indeed, it's like there where stood at the edge of cliff! Well seen!

Hi Steven,
Yeah, funny indeed. The way those two sheep look to each other is very nice. The POV and composition is excellent here, with the land down the hill as the background. Very well done!

Could also be titled "I thought you knew the way to Rosedale Abbey!" or "Does my bum look big in this?" Either way, great photo with good composition and colours. Also the angles of the hill top, road and valley bottom work well together. Cheers.

Great moment you pick up here Steven! The pale colours of the background give really an impression of height.
Very good job

Hello Steven,
Great note guidelines and a great humour quality picture. Really I don't know of both who is the first. From left and lower than the other in the diagonal green line the 90 degree attack and the other upper in frontal view. I hope that in a second capture and in seconds they disappear both in the valley!
Fantastic capture and very well composed with a great title.
Thanks for sharing and have a nice weekend.

An excellent shot Ste. I think we take the moors sheep for granted here; many people don't see them free like we do. You have taken this at just the right moment - 2 seconds later......? As you say the deep dale here looks like a sheer drop beyond (or sheep drop :o))The scale is also shown well by the cars in the background. Well done
manss0fl's alternative titles made me smile too

Hi Ste. Fun interaction you captured between the two sheep here, and indeed the story you made up might be a possibility here. Beautiful degradation of green tones in the gentle undulating landscape, and nice details present in the coats of the two main characters.

Hi Steven,
An excellent composition! I am glad you decided to post this one. I often come across sheep in my long distance walks in England and see them on high hills. The green colours and hues work very well here and you have captured the two friends nicely posed on the steep hillside. I like the clear definition on the main subject, with the distant fields slightly blurred. Very effective and satisfying. Oh to be in England! (I missed my long distance walk this year...)

You’re morbid men… Sheep contemplating suicide!!! I guess it could be worse if you were trying to make us believe that his name is Romeo and her Juliet!... :o))
Very funny indeed. :-)
The image is also quite nice. The overall green tones are unusual and create a fresh image. Also like the fade of the distance and the inclusion of the road in the top left which fills very well that space.

Hi Steve
You have really captured humour in this rural scene. I love your composition - nice diagonals theme without the need for a horizon, the details are lovely and sharp and the green tones are fresh.

It is also funny to me, though I think that the funniest is the title you choosed. :DD
In your photo everything I see is perfect. A beautiful background which is not the sky nor a wall. And it is green, a very homegeneus green. I love the green landscapes. The pose of the sheeps is nice. They look like being talking each other. The diagonal line of the edge of the cliff adds a lot to the composition. In summary it could be a perfect portrait with the blurred background and the subject standing out but it is more than this: a funny and beautiful shot of nature with sheeps with black legs and head that I had only seen in some cartoon movies. With your permission, it goes to favorites.

By opening your intro, I saw this one !
Even if you got plenty of feddback , I decided to comment this one. We can almost here it saying that! Lovely capture. Superb background and composition. Definitely a Winning shot.
Looking at the size of the car on the road, you seemed to be quite high here.
Cheers!

Hi Steven,
I like this picture. Yes, it's a funny one, because the sheep are really seem to be talking to each another. But it's also a beautiful image, because of the green colours and the composition. So, a good combination and a funny title also.
Well done and thanks for sharing.
