Photographer's Note
Inspired by Jean Jacque’s photographs taken at Orly Airport Here and looking for a change from my usual landscapes, I looked back though my archives and found this shot I had taken at York Railway Station in England. I quite like it, what do you think?

Hello Rosemary,
A bright and colourful composition with a touch of graphism. I like the use of the square frame and the saturated colours. Well seen and perfectly realised.

Je suis vraiment très flatté que mes photos d'Orly aient pu t'inspirer cette superbe composition aux couleurs très attractives et où se mêlent harmonieusement reflets et transparences. Je suis très fan....forcément!

Hi Rosemary
A kaleidoscope of colours and detail, perhaps a little over saturated but what the heck! It works.
cheers

This is a really fascinating shot, Rosemary. The graphism of the windows and vertical lines, the uncertainty of reality vs. reflection, and the trains bright colors - actually, the bright colors of everything in the frame - make it seem not unlike a bit of pop art rather than a photo. Really nicely framed.

Hi dear Rosemary
Wow another tasteful and artstic image!
A magical color world! I wonder how you can get such an impressive color touch. Thick and moody color touch is so marvelous as your taste. Thank you for your sharing and have a good day!

Hello Rosemary,
Yes, in the same spirit as the previous shot from Jean-Jacques. The treatment is different, but it makes me think about impressionist painters like Turner who were loving to deal with big transportation machines like steam boats and train. Let's say you are giving a modern treatment with reflections and vivid colors. With this shot you are perhaps closer to cubism than impressionism.
Yves.

Hello Rosemary
Good idea to be enthusiast about a picture, and to find a similar one. As JJ's post, we have 2 overlapping images, one seen through the glass and the other one by reflection, both of them mixing perfectly.
Cheers

Hello Rosemary,
A very different picture of what you usually propose but I like just as much! The play of light is remarkable and the profusion of colors make this shot a very dreamlike composition.
This is beautifully done.

Hi Rosemary,
This is a very different kind of photos from you. I love it, seeing different and something that is out of our ordinary style. I like very much the strong graphic and semi abstract quality. Looking through the glass give a sense illusion of depth and space. excellent colors and tone and I also like the sense of motion and glow of the interior lights.

Hello Rosemary,
I love the treatment that you applied here. The saturated colours of the train really stand out against the grey structure of the station. The reflections distort the image in places giving a look of movement although I suspect the train was stationary. A picture full of textures and colour with a super crop - love it!
Best wishes, Ann

Hi Rosemary, i went by a train to York but it was not so colourful. In fact, i went by many trains but they were ordinary. Superb shot and indeed, there is a similarity with JJ Orly photos.

Hi Rosemary
This certainly brightens the place up, an expressive shot with nice colors and bold enough to drag the eyes in with good sense of graphical-abstract effect making the visual senses be moved. You have done a great job here, a fine shot in every way - colour, comp, content and interest. Well done, TFS

Dear Rosemary
Apologies for being so behind with the critiques, I will try and catch up.
And what a beauty. As Craig has remarked, the similarity to JJ's excellent ariport work is evident here. The colours, reflections and tight framing all accentuate that arty, abstract quality. I also like how this is again a departure from your comfort zone, although just as skillfully executed. A photo I could stare at for ages and still find some new element to enjoy. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Rosemary!
This one is really beautiful! So colourful and with a great composition. I like the way you framed the colourful train, some details of the station, some reflections on the glass and even that sense of movement. The colours are magnificent! A very good quality photo!
