Photographer's Note
Prior to engaging in the deep deliberations of the Cropredy Summit, the group repaired to the magnificent surroundings of the Stowe Landscape Gardens.
Much can be said about these magnificent gardens, but leave it to this link to say it all better than I !
This image is of the rear of the Temple of Concord and Victory, which is the largest and grandest of Stowe's temples. It was originally called 'The Grecian Temple'. Built in 1747-9, its designer still remains unknown.
I would have shown you the front view, but alas I never saw it ! This image is a stitch of two, as the surrounding trees force a POV so close as to be impossible to use only one. There is an image of the front and the grand steps in the gallery section of the link above.

Hi Martin, What a super Temple of Concord and Victory, pity you missed the front elevation, was it because you were in search of Oak tree's? Back to the photo, great stitch and super colours, Well done, Cheers Iain.

Hello Martin,
A simple composition with excellent elements. This Temple of Concord is so much well maintained as if it did not pass nor one day. Very good pov and clarity also the architecture details are amazing.
Warm regards,
Maria

Hi Martin, Interesting what you saw during the meeting. I am sure the gardens of Stowe were magnificent. Why you haven't seen the front view. it happens to me sometimes too and then i am rather angry when i realize this. It was so in Trevir, when i saw only one side of Porta Nigra, and I do not now why. Nice temple like taken from Greece. Excellent POV.

Hello Martin,
An excellent shot of the temple with beautiful columns like temples in Greece. I like the mood and colors here. A well composed image with sharpness.

Good evening (or should I say good morning - in fact so early as to be called "Cutie Crew Early")
This edifice is absolutely spectacular. What are the Greeks doing in an English garden? But wow, however they got there, they've really set the bar very high. I recently watched a documentary on English gardens, I can't remember if this particular one was on it, but wow it shouls have been. Enough raving, onto your photo. The stitching is superb, I'd never have known, it just looks like you've used a very wide angle lens. I wonder how John's 17-40mm would have fared here? Beautiful angles you've chosen and the definition and colour rendering are top-notch. Great shot, a success for sure, as no doubt was your Meeting. What a shame I'm 16,000 kms away, would have loved to have joined you all.
Take care, and best regards to the CCs
Lisa
