Photographer's Note
This is a scene from the George Square, which is Glasgow’s principal square and event venue. In the foreground you see the Monument to William Ewart Gladstone, while in the background we have elaborate building of 19th century Glasgow City Chambers
I just realized that all my photos from Glasgow have the spotless blue sky which I have to mention is not the type of sky which you can always expect to have in Scotland. I just wanted to give you some warning and lower your expectations, ha ha. We have quite warm days recently in the North East England as well although it is not always sunny.

This place had a face-lift since my first visit in 10/1978, Mariusz.
A sunny day brought out many local's, tourists as well, to enjoy the green lawn with a fine sight of the City Chamber and its tower architecture's.
Have a nice friday,
Ike

Hello Mariusz,
One of my first photos that I posted from Glasgow must have been one with this impressive building. It was a very nice and sunny day, which had attracted lots of people to come and enjoy the sunshine. You chose a good viewpoint for both the tower and the statue. They really need to clean poor Mr Gladstone's head!

Ciao Mariusz,in fact you have been really lucky with the weather, you lose a little the typical gray Scottish atmosphere but you gain in photographic quality, another beautiful composition that shows the most famous architectures in a richness and perfect quality. Have a nice weekend and thanks,Luciano

Hello Mariusz,
My immediate impression, when viewing your photograph, was the fine sense of composition. The statue is placed very well, so that it makes a natural, diagonal connection with the tower of the City Chambers building.
It looks like a beautiful day, with people enjoying the sunshine, which adds a warmth to the atmosphere.
Have a lovely Sunday,
Bev :-)

mariusz
a marvelous view including the buildings and the statue and even many nice personages. my hotel was near and it was so old and in decay, but the room was gigantic and with a view, it was my best hotel in UK.
take care

Hello Mariusz.
Fantastic composition with the statue and the superb building of the Chambers behind, you can see that it is a fantastic day because of the people on the grass and this sky that must be unusual in Scotland.
About this, I wanted to tell you that the intensity of blues in the sky is not only due to the polarizing filter, I also wear it and sometimes in the same day with clear sky conditions, the shades of blue change and I think that pollution also influences , the time of day, the inclination of the sun, its situation with respect to yours, in short, I think many things, sometimes I am also surprised by the color that has come out of the sky in some photos, that later the friends of TE think I have retouched it, I have also observed that when I reduce the MB of the photo to be able to upload it to the internet, sometimes the colors intensify, I don't know if it happens to you.
A magnificent color that gives a lot of chromatic richness to the image.
Very good management of lighting and sharpness.
Well done. I like it.
I wish you a pleasant week.
Very best regards.
Luis.
