Fairy pools, a photo from Highland, Scotland

Photographer's Note

This was taken under pretty nasty weather (my favorite). Likely I had baught a mean Scottish umbrella to protect the camera. Thus allowing me to photograph the Fairy pools which are found in the southern parts of Skye. In the background you see the black Cuillin's.

Very dramatic Emmanuel. I also love this type of weather and the result you achieved here is perfect. I can see that there is a lot of work done here and I must congratulate you for your technical skills. Very good indeed. What I particularly love is the light in the foreground stones and in the golden grass in the right.

This photo takes me right back to Skye and a photo workshop I took there ten plus years ago. We had lots of gray and stormy weather and I learned to appreciate it for photography. I love your point of view and the "cotton" water. I feel like you've captured a bit of the menace of the black Cuillins. I need to go back with my new camera and improved skills.
