Photographer's Note
The view from beneath the Barmouth bridge at low tide looking down the estuary towards the sea.
"Barmouth is (geographically) one of the closest seaside resorts to the English West Midlands."
"The Barmouth Bridge (Welsh: Pont Abermaw) is a single-track largely wooden railway viaduct that crosses the estuary of the Afon Mawddach river on the coast of Cardigan Bay between Morfa Mawddach and Barmouth in Gwynedd, Wales." "The viaduct carries the Cambrian Line, the main line of the former Cambrian Railways, which runs from Shrewsbury, England to Pwllheli, and carries passenger trains operated by Arriva Trains Wales." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barmouth_Bridge

j'aime beaucoup la profondeur que vous avez su donner à la photo, les couleurs douces et la netteté de l'ensemble qui donne un bon rendu des matières.
Le sujet est original et bien traité, il y a une atmosphère particulière qui est très plaisante.
Amicalement,

Hello Trevor,
The bridge piers make an interesting and unusual frame as we gaze across the estuary. The light was not of the best, but you have known how to use it to best advantage creating a very moody atmosphere that is apposite to the subject. The image has amazing depth with the watercourse on the right taking us deep into the scene.

Hello Trevor,
you have taken this from an unlikely location that has worked very well with the sea weed and the bridge creating FG interest and the distant rocks helping to give the image a nice depth.
The cloudy sky is also very well rendered giving a nice mood to the shot.
Best regards Les.

Ciao Trevor
Complimenti
Ciao e buona giornata

Hello Trevor,
An attractive thumbnail and even better full size. You have used the wooden supports well. They are wonderfully textured with seaweed and moss, give an impression of strength and act very successfully as a funnel from the f/g to the b/g, where further textures can be found.
A fine composition completes this most interesting shot.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

hello Trevor
A gloomy day on the beach. Not the best conditions for a photographer. A wooden structure, some puddles and seaweed. I wouldnt have probably noticed it but what a great shot you made of it. Totally mastering DOF, contrast and light. The line of the right hand bridge base following the curve of the water. Very powerful. After seeing this i went trough your gallery and noticed especially the Iceland horse and the beach carousel. Absolutely great. I add my points for those pictures too.
Best regards
Tony

Technical a very well picture, certainly with the through look that us leads to very far in background.

Very well done, TFS.
Have a nice weekend,

Hello Trevor
Bleak-looking, and for me, almost frightening. I have a recurrent dream about falling under a pier, had it since childhood, when I used to be taken down on the lower decks of Southend pier to go fishing. But this is an excellent photograph, well framed by the posts and the colours haven't been over-cooked. Nice one.
Regards
Will
