Photographer's Note
By our very nature we are a curious species and i thought the title would actually make people look,
Actually the photo is not really scary, well maybe its a bit spooky.
I do not make a habit of hanging around in graveyards but this one is a bit different,It is part of the beautiful St Davids Cathedral in Pembrokeshire.
Its beauty is immence, people come here to picnic or just to sit and wonder, children can be seen playing,it must be the happiest graveyard in the world.
Whilst i was there i overheard a local saying that in the winter snow the children use the hills as a tobbogan run,i am not too sure the Bishop would be too pleased though.
St Davids is the smallest city in the UK,probiably amongst the smallest in the world,It really is only the size of a small village but having this wonderful Cathedral has given it City status.
This shot was handheld at 1/25 sec.

Fantastic shot. Great depth of feild. The picture tells so many stories, the one that speaks to me is that someone has passed but is not forgatton, they are remembered at each sunset.
Thanks.

This photo has everything.
Without doubt one the most impressive pictures I`ve seen here on TE.
Sit back and watch the points roll in. Surely this has to be worth a hundred.

WOW, great shot David. The shot has a tremendous atmospheric feel and looks like a movie set.
Great composition with the gravestone in the foreground, down the hill to the cathederal and then on to the impressive sky.
Congratulations on a superb photo.

Hello David,
This is a uniquely rendered scene of the graveyard. Despite the shadows and time of day, one can discern the details very clearly. As a result, much ambience is created, if not on a spooky level, certainly on a perhaps spiritual plane. The background is also most interesting. There are many subtle tones and features of this shot which the viewer may enjoy. Well done.

Like the POV, composition and colours. I like it all. This is in fact the most beautiful graveyard I've ever seen.

This is an incredible shot for handheld. I'm a big fan of the dark, saturated colours, and this is a great example. I like the 'character' of the stones, and the colour in the sky is great. Well done!

Hi David,
An interesting view of this churchyard. The tombs leading to the Cathedral (beautiful!), and surrounded by those coloured clouds. Very well composed !
If you don't mind, I'll borrow it for a theme I started some time ago.
Thanks & congrats,
Youssef.

Great setting in very nice mood. The sky and the tone really make it special.
