Photographer's Note
Yes, more fireworks I'm afraid! I just had a look through this evening's shots and this one jumped out at me - it's a flower, but captured in fire :)
No trickery, just a single long exposure. Some days you're lucky, and this time I think I was really lucky!
Today is Guy Fawke's night, celebrated throughout the UK - some say it's to commemorate Guy Fawke's attempt to blow up the Houses of Parliament back in 1605, but actually we're celebrating the day his body was burnt...
More on both fireworks and this night in my previous shot which can be found here
I hope you enjoy this one as much as I do!
Tech: ISO100. Manual Focus.

Hi Adrian, you're lucky indeed to capure it in flower image! The wind also played a big role in this shot creating the light effect you need. Excellent. I also like it!

Absolutly amazing. So incredibly sharp and clean. The lower sparks are like the leaves on the flower's stem.
Your photography ia just gorgeous.

Adrian, this image is above most fire work shots I have see. This indeed looks like a flower, the image itself is very well exposed, composition is very interesting (which isn't always the case for this type of shot), and the flower like look gives this image a special atmoshpere.
I like it alot.

Yes, you was lucky. this is a very good capture. I like the sharpness, the colours the composition, the framing. only the text wrapped around the frame,I am not sure about.

Surely, one of most succesfull fireworks photos. Yes, you are lucky, however, but after seeing your previous firework shot, no, it is a result of your mastership.

Amazingly sharp picture, Adrian. Did you underexposed the shot? Or is it 17-40 that sharp. Anyway, wonderful work. Thanks

Very nice, Adrian. There's lots of luck in photography - but only for those who wait for it. You make me miss England with this one...

Heeeee... I thought flowers should be posted on TL! :o)
Seriously now, it was worth waiting to the right night. Another great shot, but I think I would choose the first one. I prefered the tightly framed composition of Gunpowder, treason and plot. Anyway, I think you succeeded on both picture to freeze a marvellous moment...

Quite extraordinary indead !!!
You could sell it well, I think !
Usually, I don't support fireworks, as I think they are unnecessary polluting activities, but in that case, what a gift it is !

Hi Adrian,
I love the way you see things - very creative! I watched a documentory about sea creatures which are illuminated in the water - this looks like one of them, then of course it looks like a flower - but oh no! they are fireworks! very clever - thans for adding the settings too - very helpful if ever I decide to try anything like this...

Hi Adrian,
You did magic with your camera here. The slow shutter has done its job so nicely. Good job my friend. TFS.

Pretteeeeey! First thing I though, it´s a stitch of more pictures, but you proved me wrong very quickly in your note.
You were very lucky, this is a "one in a million" photo. A photo worth winning a prize. Ingenious! Goes to my favs.
Best regards,
Adrian

Very well done photo!
I've loved using long exposure time, but finding a good light source proves difficult most of the time. :L
Very well done maintaining proportions and size of the image!
