Photographer's Note

On returning from a trip to Bude on the North Cornwall coast on an August evening,we meandered along the country road that leads to Week St Mary.
A farmer had been busy cutting grass leaving these lovely patterns in the roadside fields.

A large place for the splendid sky . But also a beautiful landscape in the low part , with the road leading us towards the horizon , and a superb darl light . Like a lot the lines of grass in the field in the right .

A beautiful landscape composition that benefits from a lovely ambient light. The road and the patterns formed by the grass cutting combine to give the image immense depth. And, all helped by that magnificent sky. Attractive natural tones and excellent sharpness. An image to celebrate the beauty of the English countryside.

Dynamic sky that occupies a large part of the image contrasts nicely with the dark green of the fields.

Hello Leslie - I've been having a look at your Cornwall photographs; this one is so beautiful, how did I miss it? The green fields are sublime, full of textures and colour variants. The light has worked magic here. And, the sky deep blue and decorated with white wisps of cloud. A really beautiful image - I just love those rolling contours. have a fine weekend. Rosemary
