Photographer's Note
This picture was taken in Burbage within the Peak district...the gritstone edge, winding stream and woodland cannot be seen.
The weather deteriorated quickly as I got closer to the peaks after leaving Sheffield and there was thick mist covering the whole area, not what I had planned, but I went for a different approach, decided to go black and white and try to convey some of the atmosphere and what it felt like to be there that day. More posts from the same day to follow.

Hi James
I like the different approach you chose with your shot. It (to myself anyway) creates a feel from another era and very much reminds me of our old family photos from pre and post war England taken with old Kodak cameras. Interested in seeing the rest of them.

Bonsoir James,
J'aime cette photo à l'atmosphère particulière. On se croirait de retour dans les années 50 avec le flou et le noir et blanc. Les deux personnages sont intéressants et on aimerait savoir ce qu'ils font. Bravo.

Hi James,
My first look through your portfolio, and I really like this shot. The black and white approach is very appropriate and it was a very clever and novel approach to deliberaely blur the two figures. I think you have achieved your aim.

Hi James,
Long time. I felt like I just woke up and everything is still blur and I have to keep rubbing my eyes and it is still blur. I really need to get my eyes check out :)
For one a blur image that actually work and make sense, I like it, the misty mood, it really depict the cold foggy consition well, although I think you can make it sharper, but it work out great here. So, I would complain.
Thanks. Hope all is well.

Hi James.
Your B&W images carry such an atmosphere, this one stands out for it's 'difference', the soft focus and the misty atmosphere, it feels timeless and mystarious, quite beautiful...a highlight in your gallery for sure.
Cheers

Hi James,
I love this shot. It feels like a very old photograph taken with a very old camera! The blur adds to the general feel. A very melancholy shot enhanced by the choice of black and white instead of colour.
