Photographer's Note
Late afternoon sunshine bathes the Marram grass that anchors and holds the sand dunes in place at East Head in West Wittering, West Sussex, England. It is a tough little plant, but being constantly trampled by human feet can easily kill it, therefore walkers are encouraged to keep to the wooden pathways that have been placed in the dunes.

Ciao Brian
Ciao e buona giornta
Romano
Un bel cielo completa degnamente la composizione

Hello Brian
You know, I really must get down to West Wittering myself one of these days: it's only just down the road. Your atmospheric photograph makes me realise what I'm missing on my doorstep.

Hi Brian. Very fine details, sharpness and of course all the textures make the scene special. The sun's rays accentuate the warm colours which contrast well with the green. Regards. Klaudio.

Hello Brian
Marram grass is one of the best dunes protectors, becomes also a lot use at Belgian and Netherlands coast.
A splendid picture, I am a very big fan of a strolls in the dunes, this for a little bit oxygen.
Very well composition, nice presentation too.
Thanks for sharing.
Best regards,
John

Hi Brian,
The interest begins with the title and continues throughout your shot.
The subject by itself wasn't an obvious material to photograph, but you have transformed it not a beautiful presentation. The warm light surely have a lot to do with the result, and so is the composition.
Very well done!

Brian,
simple and beautiful. You just proved that sometimes very modest looking landscapes can be actually very attractive. I like the way you composed the wooden path into the picture. Nicely captured wind in grass and very good light.
Well done

Hello Brian,
The light from the low winter sun on the marram grass is glorious.
Your photograph is all about textures; the sharp exposure, and fine composition, with lines to guide us, ensures that we notice them all.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Good evening Brian
I know that I probably sound like a broken record but I'll have to say it again. You really have an eye for great compositions and light. Here comes another masterpiece with outstanding colour palette.
Have a nice week

Hi Brian,
So many things to like about this shot, but the one that stands out for me is the lighting. The soft, warm sunlit reeds give such an incredible sense of peace and calm. It seems to be a prevailing theme from the many well deserved comments, you've captured and created a wonderful moment! Without the detail information I would think this to be a summers evening rather than a chilly February date!? Great detail and depth of field to go along with the well placed horizon. Great shot!
Cheers,
Jason

Très jolie composition au graphisme intéressant dans laquelle la lumière latérale donne un très bel aspect aux herbes secouées par le vent.

Hello Brian
Nice composition. Great foreground and textures with the scene strcutured by the boardwalk. Nice late afternoon light too.
Yes ND grad used and slight saturation of the pinks in my shot. I think Billy Fury has been haunting me for a least a year now! As for a fruitful shoot - I was lucky on that day - right place, right time because of the light. There were literally tens of tourists surrounding me all taking shots of the same things.
