Student quarter, a photo from Antrim, Northern Ireland

Photographer's Note

Elmwood presbyterian church designed by John Curry in 1862 is located in Queen's university quarter.
Here a view of some students roaming, my main character looks surprised but what can I do?
Both exterior and interior of the church are designed on wedding. Sunday mass : 10:30 Am; evening service : 6:30 Pm

Sharpness and clarity makes these picture very attractive.
Also your subject is pleasant through the church in background.
The young lady with red hair makes your picture completely.
Also a wonderful panoramic view about these area.

Provocative depth of field view of the Dublin street scene, with the colorful student up front, side view of brick buildings, then the distant church appearing much older than its actual construction date.

If none of these works, R.......u..........n, but must buy a good pair of shoes.
Gueguel, her eyes say it all; she is neither pleased nor shocked by being caught on the lens. Her inner instinct might make her feel elated but her values may disagree.
This is the beauty of street shot, where you get plenty of emotions.
A nicely composed shot allowing the girll to come closer!!

Hello Miguel,
Although you have used the church as an excuse for this upload, the colourful redhead is no doubt the star of the show. Only after admiring her appearance I can let my gaze go to the church, which is fine enough. The girl in the foreground and the other people evenly spread out along the street connect us nicely with the church. There is no "dead" part of this picture.

Very nice scene of daily life with a pleasing combination of the church and the startled girl! I can almost hear her say "What Abate Ye!!" She is a very pleasing inclusion in the scene, her expression and the colors of her cloths and folder. Nicely done!

Your main character looks like statue out of a wax museum. Do Presbyterians call Sunday morning services "mass" in Ireland?
I like the warm colors in the f/g against the cooler colors of the b/g.

Good view from the street towards the open square with the church and tower, Miguel.
But, somehow the lady on right, with her eyes focus on you, is like "stealing" the moment taken this.
Her face expression made the whole photo looks altogether different - otherwise it would had been yet "another" church picture.
Nice done with DOF and clarity.

Fantastic dual war cold color contrasts here in bothe the bg red brick building at right contrasting against the blue grey tones of the sky, cathedral and shadows, and also the woman's attire, also red vs blue grey. Good sharpness and framing. Tfs!

The technical quality of this shot the lighting,the clarity,DOF and composition are superb. Love the casualness within the shot of all the comings and goings of the students with the exception of the girl in the foreground who seems to be thinking,what's going on here? Wouldn't want to get into an argument with her,she looks like a really fiery red head.

this is a wonderful picture that combines a solid and comprehensive composition with a strong sense of spontaneity and immediacy. We don't know what happened before and after this capture but the girl's expression is very immediate and intriguing. There are so many points of interest succeeding each other all the way to the other main focal point, the elegant and imposing belfry. The people add a delightful sense of movement. The light is very fine and graces the girl's hair nicely. The natural colours keep their quality both in the lit areas and in the shade ensuring an agreeable chromatic harmony.
