Photographer's Note
"Did you see it?" is amongst the topics of conversation on Radio Devon this morning, they are referring to the spectacular colurs of the sunset that we were treated to here in the West Country last night.
This was shot from the bedroom window leaning against the window frame...No time for tripods!

really a spectacular view of sky, awesome colours. You captured it very well with the silhouetted ground and some trees. Simple composition with a nice result. Very well done. Tfs.

Bonjour Leslie,
J'aime beaucoup ces arbres qui se d嶰oupent en ombres chinoises sur un ciel rose spectaculaire. L'ensemble d幦ontre une tr鋊 belle technique.

Hi Les,
yes the trees are a bit fuzzy, but sometimes you just have to shot with your fingers crossed and hope it turns out ok. This shot not only turned out ok but is quite spectacular in capturing a moment in time.
beautiful colours, well proportioned.

Hi Les
did see the sunset last night and it was wonderful. I had been out all day and so knackered I did not have the energy to rush out with the camera. Now I have seen this shot I wish I had. Magical imagery!
Have a good week - Brian.

Hello Leslie,
These evening colours were really spectacular, and what a nice view you have from your bedroom. The silhouettes of various kinds of trees against the pink/purple sky create a very nice atmosphere.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hello Les...
Your work is always entertaining and educational. Often, you show us how to handle complicated scenes; here, you show us the value of simplicity. Minimalism can be an excuse, of course, for sheer vacuousness; but here, it is the perfect conduit for the wondrous miracle of light, as it is produced by nature, as it is perceived by the brain, and as it is made subject of man's technological tools that vainly attempt to capture a moment. A simple springboard into the deep end of contemplation!
Very well done, sir.
