Glen-Coe contrast of colors, a photo from Argyll and Bute, Scotland

Photographer's Note

Colors and textural nature's sceneries, can trick you on every corner crossing through the Glen-Coe region.
A picture of the GlenCoe mountains and pass, the black-texture giant rocks is part of the Bidean nam Bian, the highest summit on the area (1150M+/-) 56.659, -5.025 on the map. Took the pic. near a stop-over place along the A82 road.

Technical's: A JPEG picture, 4:3 aspect ratio, F10, exp.1/500, ISO1250.

Good Morning Ike,

If a person did not understand the colours of autumn, you would be able to present this photograph and all would be explained!
It is a sublime example, too, of strong f/g colours impacting and leading by gradation into the b/g, where the black-textured giant rocks of the Bidean nam Bian come as a complete contrast!
It's a wonderful photograph, good as a thumbnail but even better full size!

I enjoy this kind of wild landscape . Especially beautiful are the golden grass in the FG and the contrast with the grey moutains .

The colours of this photo are quite fantastic. There are so many tones telling us of autumn and the more timeless colours of the hills go well into this palette. This view should inspire a painter, and maybe also a textile artist.

Ike, it is a splendid landscape of moors and forests swept by the cold winds. The vegetation takes brown and yellow hues in autumn. The scenery is completely modified. Fine colors, good sharpness, regards.
