Liverpool ONE is an enormous open air shopping centre in the city centre of Liverpool. The project involved the redevelopment of a large space of underutilised land in Liverpool city centre. The majority of the stores opened in 2008, during Liverpool's year as European Capital of Culture.

Liverpool ONE has significantly boosted the local economy. Together with the redevelopment of Pier Head and the postmodern buildings there, Liverpool ONE has been the major change I've seen in this city over the years.

THIS PICTURE shows a close up with reflections. No idea which particular shop or megastore this was...
It's all a bit psychedelic, though.

Hello Benny,
An image that verges on the abstract with these coloured poles standing like so many children's crayons under the sunlight. The contorted reflections nicely round out the composition. Well spotted this original photo opportunity and perfectly realised.

Hello Benny,
All these colours could lead my thoughts towards La D嶨ense in Paris, but I'm not sure if they could be combined with such reflections there. It's an exciting photo, but what happened to "I've got a feeling"?

Il y a beaucoup de choses � voir dans cette image. J'aime bien le contraste entre les rayures verticales et les maisons en reflets, le tout dans une belle harmonie de couleurs.

Hello Benny, like Gert, I initially thought that this was Paris, so was surprised to see that it was the U.K.
Very good composition with the colourful pipes contrasting with the windows and their slightly distorted reflections.
The light is beautifully managed.

You see the world in a way that's perfect for photography, able to cut and paste subjects as you have done here. such strong contrasting elements, verticals against horizontals, clean glass against round pipes, warped reflections against bold colors. awesome shot. cheers

Hello Benny,

This is an excellent juxtaposition of the colourful rods, dappled by shadows and the windows which reveal lovely, distorted images of the opposite building, rather than anything on sale.
It's colourful, sharp and fun.

Super contrast between the colored vertical tubes and the reflections of the old buildings. You gave me the idea to visit again Liverpool when I will be visiting my family in Manchester.
A Beatles song for the title of a Liverpool picture, that's so great!

Hello Benny,

A fascinating and informative note and a delightful and very colourful photograph to accompany it!

This is indeed an interesting facade, the vertical coloured poles on the left contrasting well with the windows on the right which provide some beautiful reflections of other, older and more traditional buildings.

The play of light and shade is absolutely delightful and you have managed the light here remarkably well in a fine composition with nicely saturated colours, perfect exposure and stunning details and sharpness.
