Hello Pierre,

It seems a nice autumn day with high temperatures.
Pleasant contrast with the dark statue and nice green area.
Excellent composition, sharp and clear.

Hello Pierre,
The statue is nice, but I like even better the green surroundings, and most of all the relaxed atmosphere among the people resting on the lawn. The man walking by, while speaking on the telephone, is also nicely included. Public art is always best appreciated when the public is included. The good exposure and nice colours are also obvious assets in this case.

Bonjour Pierre,

On ne peut presque pas parler de Londres en ce moment sans parler de Brexit et de Megxit mais on peut aussi, comme ces gens profiter d'une bien belle journ嶪 aux pieds d𡒶chille et de son c幨鋐re talon.

Ha! Ha! Pierre, It appears as if Achilles has had a triumphant battle, with all the bodies strewn around his feet!
Actually, Hyde Park is renown for offering a grassy spot for sunbathers, who may have travelled to the city for work and cannot just pop into their back garden to enjoy the sunshine.
The statue is very well photographed, being strongly placed and sharply defined, whilst the surrounding figures add an amusing bit of interest.

Salut Pierre,j'ai ete' la bas en 1991 mais je ne me souvien pas de cette statue. Pour ca ton post est encore plus interessant pour moi,une capture vraiment parfaite depuis Hyde Park. Belle soiree' et merci,Luciano

Pierre, that sculpture represents the mythological hero Achille. He has a shield and a sword. People are resting on the lawn in Hyde park. I ve visited this park in 2003. Fine colors, good sharpness, regards.

I remember this sculpture, if I remember well it was the first nude sculpture in london after the romans have gone.
