Photographer's Note

Hello Everyone,

Rob's tour of England spurred me on to look at some photographs that I have taken of the same places.

This photograph (you may recognise) was taken in the Museum of Liverpool. I took it when Len and I were on a small TE Get-together with Mariusz, Mike Wright and Serghei.

The Museum was an obvious place to visit and we went there early in our meeting.

The Museum of Liverpool is the newest addition to the National Museums Liverpool group having opened in 2011 replacing the former Museum of Liverpool Life. National Museums Liverpool intention is for the new venue to tell the story of Liverpool and its people, and reflect the citys global significance. The museum is housed in a new purpose-built building on the Mann Island site at the Pier Head.

The displays tell the story of the city through items from collections of costume and decorative art, entomological and botanical collections and objects representing social and urban history, as well as oral testimonies, archaeological material and photographic archives.

There are flexible spaces, which regularly change to house different collections. - from Wikipedia

This spiral staircase is a must for photographers. There were several others photographing it when we were there.

I waited for some figures to descend and three seemed like the perfect number.

I changed the photograph to b&w as there was surprisingly little colour in the original.

I will add a workshop of someone that you may recognise.

My warm regards,
Bev :-)
