Photographer's Note

Good Morning Everyone,

I had never heard of the village of Heydon until described by the farmer on whose farm we were staying. In fact, this is the very first photograph from Heydon on TE.

We went to visit it on our last day and though it was lightly raining, we were entranced by this village and hope to share more photographs with you.

It is a village which seems unspoilt! There have been no new buildings since 1887 and consequently it has been a very popular film set for period films.

I loved this pretty cottage. How good would this show up on a sunny day!

The cottage was actually used as the home for Marian in 'The Go-Between'. Other locations in the village were used for different scenarios in the film.

Our area has just gone into lockdown again as a prevention to the spread of Corona Virus - will this virus ever be defeated!!! Keep safe, Bev :-)
