Photographer's Note

Good Morning Everyone,

My photograph shows a narrow street in the village of Corfe Castle.

As you can see, the houses are built of stone, with heavy stone slate roofs, just oozing age and character.

The village gets its name from the castle, which I will show you in a later photograph.

It is a very popular tourist destination, not just because of its castle but because most English children have grown up with Enid Blyton's 'Famous Five' books and the author based her Kirrin Island and Kirrin Castle on Corfe.

My warm regards,
Bev :-)
