Photographer's Note

I was unsure what title to give this scene. It shows the seaward facing side of the Royal William Yard, which was a major victualling depot of the Royal Navy.

It was designed by architect Sir John Rennie and named after King William IV. Built between 1826 and 1835.

This is called Devil's Point, and the bay is Firestone Bay.
The size of the stones, all dressed to fit, shows the skill and the strength of the builders.
One extra shot that shows the view out to sea rom this point.
Taken with an iPhone.
Thanks for looking.
