Photographer's Note
I like visiting new places very much but sometimes I don’t want to drive too far. If I am in a new place, depending on the time available, I usually focus on the postcard like compositions. But when I visit a place for the second or third time, I don’t feel the pressure of having the postcard like scene done again so I can focus on new different angles. Sometimes it is the opposite: if the first visit was not lucky weather-wise, maybe the second visit will allow photographing the most popular picturesque spots.
Anyway, it is not the first time I visited Ripon. It is just 40 minutes drive from where I live. Beautiful little town with the main attraction being the Ripon Cathedral.
I have presented to you the façade of the cathedral, long time ago here:

Today for a change a view of the back side of the cathedral. The word backyard came to my mind for two reasons. 1. It is literally the back yard of the cathedral. 2. This is one of the very local destinations for me to visit, and it is a second meaning of the word backyard.

Hello Mariusz,
An imposing building of the Cathedral with good view through the naked branches of the big tree which animate the outcome.
Clear and distinct as always.
Have a nice new week,
Ike

Hello Mariusz, firstly thank you for the correction, all sorted. 😊
I lived in Ripon for three years as I was at that time at teacher training college. ( The college is no longer there. )
This is a lovely view of the cathedral taken through the bare trees; taken in a lovely light thus some good shadows.
Thanks for sharing. I didn’t expect to see Ripon on TE.
Kind regards, Jean.

Hello Mariusz,
I recognised the cathedral, which is utterly beautiful and placed in a very attractive, almost rural setting.
(Ripon was where I met one of my first TE colleagues, a delightful lady from USA, who was a horse whisperer!)
The winter tree, in the f/g, adds atmosphere, for me, though I don't think it would have been so successful in summer!
The weather and the light were just as you would have ordered them!
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Mariusz,
I really like this slightly uphill photo of the charming church, surrounded by the naked trees, whose leaves didn't obstruct the view yet. Lovely blue sky in the background as well.

Hello Mariusz,
I had a look again at the previous photo you showed of this cathedral in 2013 and I struggled to believe this is the same location and cathedral.
Although I also like your first photo, I find this one a lot more interesting and more successful.
The slightly undulating green slope, the trees and their shadows on the grass provide more photographic opportunities than the main street at the front side of the cathedral.
Who knows which angle you will discover on a third visit?
Beautiful light and attractive spring colours.
Best regards, Paul

Hi Mariusz
The trees made it difficult to fully include the front of the church but the tower is well framed by the those trees.
cheers

Hello Mariusz.
This splendid view of the cathedral, from the part of its apse, you can see a very solid construction, the trees give a nice graphic design with the blue sky behind, I did not remember if I had seen the facade and I was surprised by the originality of so many and such large windows, if it weren't for the pointed arches, it would have reminded me of a Romanesque façade, with its sturdier constructions and few adornments, like this one.
Sharpness, lighting, color, and magnificent composition; They are managed perfectly, in this beautiful image.
Nice job. I like very much.
You have a good day. Very best regards.
Luis.
