Photographer's Note
Another older photo taken with my old 1.3mp camera. This is Arkengarthdale in the Yorkshire Dales, head out through Reeth and take the road heading over the moor towards Barnard Castle.
You come to a valley with this stream running through it, and a small bridge with a ford (a river crossing). It's a nice peaceful place in the middle of nowhere for a picnic, and the kids to have a play.
I like this photo because of the way the stream sweeps off into the distance, and the rich browns and reddy browns in it.

Nice shot Mark, I also like the combination of green, brown and blue and the way the stream guides you into the picture.
It is lacking a bit of detail due to the 1.3mp (particularly in the rocks) but the composition is very nice.

I like this shot Mark and the way the stream leads you in. I think the colours look a little flat so I have done a workshop and increased the saturation to give the colour a bit more bite

Hi Mark,
Very good composition.
I've read your TE intro, and note you level of photo interest.
So I'll just say: this image has come out very well.
But take a look at the other landscape images on TE - when you find one that you thing is excellent, just check out what equipment was used. I'm not suggesting equipment is everything of course - you still need the eye - which you have shown here.

Yes a nice shot, as you say the valley sweeps off into the distance and the vast array of country colours is great.
Picturesque, well done :)
