This photography was taken during "Cowes Week". "Cowes week" is a sailing boat racing event happening every years. All categories of boat compete on different races, the sea front gets very busy during the days, and you need some experienced sailor to give you a few explanation to understand what is going on.
Cowes shelters the older yacht club in UK, sailing boat have been racing for nearly 200 years ...

I was, luckily, standing on a boat anchored not very far from the finish line. The photography shows the sails of another boat which passed very closed to us, as did a few as we were nearly in the race "track" !!
The boat were sailing "back wind", with their spinnaker out ... quite impressive when you are a few meters away !
I will post a few more shoots of this events.
