Hi Alex
Great picture. It's a very good point of view and the long exposure made a remarkable job, with this smooth Thames River.
Congrats and thanks for sharing

Hi Alex!
Great point of view of St Pauls. The bridge's structure, the deep blue tones, the smooth surfaces (sky and Thames river) and the cathedral's light give a futuristic aspect to this picture. Great work! Perfect composition!

Hi Alex,
this is really a grate shot! the contrast between the old and the modern, the light and the shadws, combining with this almost monochromatic ambience, makes this photo unique.

Hi Alex,
I can certainly see why this came 1st. To begin with, the lighting and exposure are spot on in every part of the picture. Next, there is a wonderful harmony in the colours and tones, from blue to grey all over. Then there is the documentary aspect of the picture, which catches famous and interesting aspects of London's architecture, old and new. Of course, I haven't forgotten the composition, and I am particularly fond of the texture of the water, as left by the long exposure. A magical pic. Cheers,
André

Hi Alex, a belated welcome to TE. I'm not surprised this was a winner as it is the best photograph I've seen from this popular vantage point. If I were to be critical, I'd say that it is a little over-processed but, having looked through the rest of your gallery (most of which is outstanding), I take that to be something of your trademark. I will certainly be looking out for more of your work. Stephen

Hey Alex.
Terrific photo. The cool tones and dark lighting provide atmosphere. The POV is dead on. I also like the contrast between old and new. Great job.
