Photographer's Note
St Baldred was a hermit and evangalist, sent by St Mungo to spread christianity in the area in the sixth century. He founded a monastry at nearby Tyninghame.
He chose a life as a hermit living in a cell on nearby Bass Rock and probably died there.
There is a rusty ladder up to the top.
The reason for the jaunty angle and the mist on the lens is that I was lying in the water on my back when I took the photo. We were out 'coasteering' training, where you go out with bouyancy aids, wet or dry suits and helmets & float, climb/ jump around the coast. I'll add a photo to the workshop to show.
