Photographer's Note
Song: Elvis Costello, Armed Forces.
We took our Hungarian visitors to see the quaint old English town of Stamford, and I came upon this quaint old English practice of dressing up Sunday best and going to church on a SUnday morning. I walked past this church just as the service was ending, and all as the congregation came out, they all said goodbye to the vicar, just like in an old film. Maybe this is normal, and I just don't notice what's going on around unless I've got visitors to entertain.
A pity the guy noticed me fiddling with my camera across the street, I tried to shot from the waist to avoid attracting attention, but too late.
Tech: Crop, greyscale, back to RGB to get sepia.

Great shot Richard! They all look so festive and so official at the same time. I like the boy on the left - all dressed up and probably intrigued by you... I like the sepia as well - it enhances the atmosphere by highlighting just the situation and not the colorful details.

Nice candid shot. Not "daily" but "sunday life" representative.. I'm surprised to see how they are dressed in a very fancy way (even the little boy has a tie). It seems almost like a marriage or a 1st communion or another ceremony like these ones. We're losing that kind of habits here in the old continent. It seems to me that everyone dresses a little bit more "simple" to go to the church nowdays.

Excellente composition où le noir et blanc est du plus bel effet et s'harmonise parfaitement avec le sujet de la photo. Les personnages donnent une note dynamique très bien vue. Très bien vu Richard !

Nice daily life shot Richard that has been played out each Sunday for who knows how long, and your B&W treatment kind of creates a visual link with that past.
Nice work again

A very good daily life shot, with a B&W PP that I really like, slightly warm, very well suited sepia tones. Not too bad that he noticed you, the scenery is otherwise full of activity and different attitudes and I like this variation. BTW, the little boy was also interested by your cam, and that's an add here. Very good composition and crop, I like this one a lot. Well done Richard!

lovely sunday life scene! Like Gal, i thought it was a wedding ceremony, and got looking for the bride ;)
beautiful sepia tone and, imho, the guy looking straight to you just make the overall mood of joy even better.
