Photographer's Note
Among all the attractions of London, pubs are well-placed.
Covent Garden, the popular, touristic and busy area has a lot of good pubs.
The Lamb & Flag is one of the oldest in London, the oldest of Covent Garden : it was open en 1623 !
We can have difficulties to find it in its little street but the crowd around help to localate it.
As others old pubs, it has kept its original decorating, outside (the wooden façade) and inside.
Busy men like come here to have a beer and a fast food at the bar, before going to work again.

Hello Yannis. Nothing is more interesting than photos of people. This kind of pictures states more over a country and its social conditions than for example monuments. The photo pleases me well. It is alive and worth seeing. Informative text. Best regards, Wolfgang.

salut yannis,

Bonsoir Yannis!
Fantastic daily life scene, excellent multiple portrait, it has a "retro" feeling, not only because of the excellent choice of b&w, but also for the attitude of the men looking at you! Excellent framing and composition, perfect light managment! Congratulations!

Hi Yannis,
The look these guys are giving you speaks volumes! The English are a funny lot, and sometimes a camera staring at them brings out the worst! But you 'shot' them, and all they could do was stare back, and you are still here to tell the tale :) It's a good daily life shot, which fits together well. If you haven't seen the film "football factory with Danny Dyer, get it out!
All the best, casper

I like the moment you caught here Yannis - the poses and expressions of these guys are great.
Your B&W conversion needs some work though - at the moment it's all too greyish. It needs some work to separate the tones.
Sometimes a bit of tilt can enhance a photo, lending a bit of energy and dynamism. Here though, in what is quite a static shot, the tilt doesn't look right - next time try to hold your camera straight!
I know it's not easy to approach people with your camera so directly, so well done for having a go. The result is very good.
Cheers,
Ben

Bien vu,
Cath.

Lamb&Flag ? Was there only one month ago. Drinking bear upstairs... :)))
Think I do prefer version in WS - but the original version seems promising for sure.

de sacrées gueules que voici. Un petit côté "Arnaques, crimes et botanique". Film Anglais. Oui, je vois bien une scène d'un film. Bon n&b encore une fois.
