Lighthouse, a photo from Paphos, West

Photographer's Note

The lighthouse in Paphos was built in 1888 when Cyprus was under under British rule. The island was an important military point controlling the route of ships traveling through the Suez Canal to the colonies.
Its light is 36 m above the sea and can be seen for 17 miles

The lighthouse stands out quite splendidly against the dark sky. Well composed leaving a stretch of the city below to see.

Hello Ryszard,
There are nice proportions between sky and land, and in spite of the fairly dark clouds the light was very good. The colours are warm and pleasant and the lighthouse is a perfect eye-catcher nicely complemented ny the red roofs.

Hello Ryszard, I always enjoy seeing pictures of lighthouses, and this one stands out in its bright white paintwork. But where is the sea?
You have composed this shot where the lighthouse stands proud on the headland, and we get a view of a distant town.

A good composition for this landscape. I like the green slopes and the dark blue clouds with the white lighthouse and the orange roof in the middle. Fine lighting.

It's a beautiful location and neat looking coastal area with clear features to engage the eye. It's the lighthouse lends this a splendid focal point and contrast. Looks like you had the perfect weather down there with pretty greyish blue sky to compliment, It pleases the eyes. Excellent shot.

Ryszard, that beautiful lighthouse signals the coast and reefs to the ships navigating off shore. The meadow in the fg has a magnificent lemon green hue. Fine colors, good sharpness, interesting photo note, regards.

The lighthouse is very pretty. I like your POV, that has completely eliminated the sea. It looks like the lighthouse is in the middle of dry land. 👍🏻👍🏻
It looks like all the HTML markups are being rejected by TE. Yet another decline. You probably realize I depend on HTML markups to format my notes, I felt so disappointed with my last upload that I have not uploaded anything new today. If I could find another site with a community like that of TE's, I would jump ship. But alas, the closest site to TE, Photofolia, is closing soon. We were told we have until April 22 to download all our photos from there.
