Still I'm in the first of the way,...

Let me use one of my shot's note that was about Tulips in Iran :

The "Tulip" Flower is an Iranian prominent symbol,...Yes !.

A stylized representation of the word Allah (GOD) in the shape of a tulip,a symbol of martyrdom in red is centered in the white band of the flag.
The shape of the emblem is chosen to remind a tulip,for the memory of the(young)people who died for Iran.
It is an ancient belief in Iran,dating back to mythology,that if a young soldier dies patriotically,a red tulip will grow on his grave.
In recent years it is considered as the symbol of
martyrdom.

The scientific name for this group of bulbous plants is Tulipa and was assigned by the famous Swedish botanist Linnaeus in the mid 1700's.The name tulip is derived from the old Persian word toliban meaning turban,which is an apt term to describe the flower shape of certain tulips.

*History

Iran is the hub of tulips.According to geographical research,around 170 various types of tulip grow across Iran.Nonetheless,the Netherlands is
mainly known for its beautiful tulips.

Some researchers believe that tulip was taken from Iran to Constantinople by the envoy of the Roman Emperor Ferdinand I to Iran,who took the tulip grain to Vienna in 1554 and introduced the flower to Europeans.Since 19th century its cultivation started in the Netherlands.

In Persian language we call this kind of flower to "Laaleh" ! a nice gerlish name in Iran.
hyacinth and tulip are two flowers symbolize spring,in Iranian new
year celebration,which represent Love and Friendship.

Fine tulip-portrait and the note is fine too.
It's a good thing to have in common.
I thought dutch tulip-cultivation started in the 17th century, in what we call our Golden Age.

A nice detail of these tulips of your country. I like how you have caught one of them with great detail and have left others out of focus, heightening this way very well the protagonist of your photo.

I like this shot because it is not as classical as most tulip shots. So different having one off-centre which is really sharp compared to the rest ans it stands out well against the green background. Lovely colours.

PS: I am thinking of going to Iran maybe next year. I can take longer vacations around the summer or around christmass, but I am concerned that these periods may be too hot or too cold. WHich time period would you recommend, and do you know if its increasingly difficult to get visas?

Just coming back from Netherland, I cant avoid to pay a special attention to this photo to portrait so delicately. You play with the focus very well, giving another probe that you have quite a personal sensibility I like to know throught your photos. Take care Mohammad.

hi, the photo generally beautifull. but also very unique. The brigh color of the blur background somehow keep stealing my view from the main flower. Very nice though!!
