Photographer's Note

Kaboud Mosque or Jahanshah Mosque is one of the historical mosques of Tabriz dating to the reign of the Qaraqviunlu in the ninth century AH. Madame Jean Diolafova, a French road and building engineer and archaeologist who traveled with her husband to France for archeological excavations, mentioned in her book the Mosque of Blue Tabriz (French: La Mosqu嶪 bleue de Tauris).
History
The mosque was built in the year 6 AH, under the rule of Jahanshah, the most powerful ruler of the Qaraquiyonloo dynasty and ordered by his daughter Saleh Khanum. Pascal Coust has mentioned the mosque in the past as a Sunni mosque and a mosque that the Shiites are reluctant to use. The tiled inscription of the main porch of the mosque in Kabul has been installed since the 5 th (lunar). These inscriptions and other inscriptions in the mosque are in line with the famous 9th century calligraphy of Nematullah al-Bawab and were overseen and supervised by Ezzedine bin Malik Qapuchi.
